The World Heritage Committee of the Society organized a study tour to Japan

From January 22 to February 1, 2019, initiated by Sichuan Civil and Architectural Society, Southwest Jiaotong University teachers and students were organized to carry out a winter architectural study tour in Japan。In this activity, the teachers and students observed and studied the works of the most famous contemporary Japanese architects such as Chen Wenhiko, Kisho Kurokawa, Toyo ITO, Tadao Ando, Kengo Kuma, Kazuyo Sejima, and visited the origin of traditional village protection in Japan。Visited the University of Tokyo, Nagoya University, University of Tsukuba and Tama University, and interacted with the teachers and students of the University of Tsukuba and Tama University, held workshops and listened to the lectures of Japanese professors。

    After more than half a year of careful planning and preparation by Chinese and Japanese professors, the leaders of the association and teachers of Southwest Jiaotong University communicated and coordinated with Japanese professors and relevant responsible persons for dozens of times to ensure the successful conclusion of the study tour。Through this study tour, the students have exercised their will and international communication ability, demonstrated their professional skills and expanded their international vision。  

On the afternoon of March 28, at the World Heritage International Research Center of Southwest Jiaotong University, the students made a summary report on the Japanese architecture tour course during the winter vacation。Zhang Wenyi, Secretary general of Sichuan Civil and Architectural Society, and Liu Hongtao from Southwest Jiaotong University attended the comments。The students who participated in the study tour gave a rich report on the theme of "Barrier-free design of Japanese architecture", "Protection of Japanese cultural Heritage" and "Development of Modern Japanese Architecture" with illustrated PPT。

After the students reported,学会On behalf of the association, Secretary General Zhang Wenyi expressed his feelings on this study tour and earnestly hoped that similar study tour activities could be more extensive and better promoted, so that students could go abroad to learn more advanced design concepts, and promote the international work of the association at the same time。Mr. Liu Hongtao spoke highly of the students' reports, affirmed the students' learning results, and believed that the study tour was a complete success。Finally, Secretary General Zhang personally presented the certificates to the students to participate in the study tour, and took a photo with all the teachers and students。
